Hello, welcome

Do you feel exhausted by the effort of getting through everyday life? Perhaps you’re autistic, ADHD or AuDHD (diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or self-identifying) and find yourself constantly pushing through, masking, people pleasing, or trying to keep up with demands that leave you overwhelmed and burnt out.

I’m Caitlin, a neurodivergent therapist in Stirling, Scotland, specialising in therapy for autistic, ADHD and AuDHD adults. Together, we can explore overwhelm, burnout, capacity, masking, and self-trust, helping you understand yourself more deeply and find a more sustainable way forward.

I’m passionate about creating a therapy space which feels inclusive and personalised to your individual needs. I provide counselling (indoors and outdoors) in Stirling and also online (worldwide).

What does that look like? A supportive environment where you feel valued, understood, and empowered to explore your individual needs. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of your capacity, relationships, patterns, and experiences, helping you build greater self-trust and self-compassion.

Tailoring therapy to fit your unique journey

Many autistic and ADHD adults already know that one size does not fit all. But therapy can sometimes still feel like it expects you to fit into certain ways of thinking, communicating, or coping. That can feel draining and overwhelming when you’ve spent so much of life trying to fit into systems that don’t quite work for you.

Perhaps some of these statements resonate with you…

Discomfort with silence

The idea of sitting in a silent room makes me feel uncomfortable. I need specific sounds to feel calm or to be able to concentrate.

Easily overstimulated or overwhelmed

I worry about feeling overstimulated by lighting/sounds/temperature…

Restlessness

I find it difficult to sit still for long periods of time and/or I prefer to be active/keep moving. I prefer to have something to fidget with when I am talking or to help me concentrate.

Accessibility concerns

I would like in-person therapy but worry about accessing the room due to my disability or mobility issues.

Feelings of anxiety or claustrophobia

I struggle with being inside or in an enclosed space.

Feeling stuck

I feel ‘stuck’ in my life or with certain patterns, thoughts, behaviours and/or feelings.

Social interactions are difficult for me

I struggle to talk and can find social interactions difficult.

I am a homebody

I prefer being in the comfort of my own home.

I am a creative person

I prefer to express myself creatively e.g. writing, drawing, music.

Therapy with me is shaped around your individual needs, capacity, and lived experience. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, we’ll work in a way that feels manageable and responsive to where you are right now.

If you’d like to explore whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 20-minute online meeting. This is a chance to meet, ask questions, and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.

“Caitlin and I worked incredibly well together. I feel she actively listened in an excellent manner and reflected and drew conclusions from what I was saying that made me realise things I hadn’t thought of before. Her receptive manner made me able to open up and be myself around her, I feel validated and heard in her presence and I feel calmer after working with Caitlin.”
